OWL MOON
Come join us for the Friends of Mason Neck State Park's Owl Moon evening on September 23! It’s an opportunity to come face to face with three owls (a Barn Owl, a Barred Owl and a Great Horned Owl) as the Secret Garden: Birds and Bees presents "A Year in the Life of an Owl" . Bring your camera for great close-up shots. We'll have light refreshments at 7:00 PM and hold a very brief annual meeting, then start the program at 7:30. We'll plan for the event to be held in the Visitor Center, but if more than 30 people register, we’ll be in a large, lighted tent near the Visitor Center so be sure to dress for the weather.
THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS EVENT, WHICH IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. However, please RSVP if you are coming so we know how many people to plan for and we can put up the tent if we need it.
