General Information
Open hours and contact: For the park’s hours of operation, visitor center / gift shop schedule, important telephone numbers, and other information about Mason Neck State Park, please visit the park’s web site https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/mason-neck
Fees: Parking fees are waived for vehicles displaying government-issued disabled plates or placards (fees for trailers or boat launching must be paid). https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/parking-fees
Accessible restrooms and amenities: The restrooms at the visitor center and in the picnic area are open until the park grounds close. The p;icnic grounds include two wheelchair-accessible picnic tables as well as wheelchair-accessible access paths from the parking lot to the tables.
Water bottle filling stations are available next to the visitor center restrooms, in the visitor center, and at the restrooms in the picnic area. The latter two filling statins are sensor-operated, making them easier to use.
Snacks (candy, chips, ice cream, sodas) may be purchased in the gift shop. There is also a museum in the visitor center.
An EnChroma viewer for people with color vision disability is located on the concrete pad behind the Visitor Center. Adult and youth-sized EnChroma glasses are available for use without charge at the Visitor Center.
Staff and law enforcement: Park rangers are on duty while the park is open.
Parking: Handicapped parking spaces are dispersed throughout the park. In addition to one space at the Visitor Center, accessible spaces can be found in the picnic area, where you can access the High Point Multi-Use trail, the playground, and at the start of the Dogue, Marsh View, and Osprey View trails.
