The Friend's first river cruse to see Eagles, other wildlife, Mason Neck State Park and other places on the "Neck" and Mason Neck was held April 26, 2014. Over 15 different Bald Eagles were observed. Nesting Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, and a variety of other wildlife were also seen. The weather was perfect. The catamaran was very stable and piloted by an experienced Captain of the Potomac River who told an interesting story about George Washington and his carriage crossing the Occoquan on a ferry.
